B1 - Treshold

During your Arabic language course at the B1 level, you will have the opportunity to improve your Arabic conversation skills by learning to talk about life in the city versus life in the countryside, your job and career, emigration and immigration. You’ll also learn to name parts of the body and gain basic skills to manage situations at a hospital, discuss your daily routine, narrate a moving experience, explore the basics of media language, and write friendly emails.
In grammar, you will practice transforming verbal sentences into nominal ones after particles that require nominal sentences (such as أنّ ,لأنّ, or لكنّ), and vice versa, changing nominal sentences into verbal ones after particles requiring verbal sentences (such as عندما or سوف). You’ll also master the imperfect tense for repeated or contextual actions in the past, as well as learn to use the imperative, the passive voice, and auxiliary verbs.
B2 - Vantage
200 to 250 hours

Starting the B2 level means you’re ready to work with authentic materials! By now, you have enough Arabic vocab to read news articles, discuss topics like the environment, health, your job, and your extended family, and explore the differences between various forms of Arabic, including dialects, classical Arabic, and modern standard Arabic.
When it comes to Arabic grammar, there’s little left to surprise you. At this level, you’ll learn to use the pluperfect tense, conditionals, comparisons, and circumstantial complements. You’re just one step away from becoming a proficient user!
